Fortunoff Backyard Store is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Retail Store Manager to lead our Patchogue, New York showroom. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of store operations, team performance, and customer experience to drive sales and exceed company-defined goals in a high-energy retail furniture environment.

The ideal candidate will be sales and team-oriented, display strong attention to detail, and maintain professionalism at all times. The Retail Store Manager is a skilled multi-tasker and demonstrates creative leadership methods to motivate employees. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and Motivate: Inspire a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and recognition.

  • Drive Sales: Lead by example, be your stores best sales achiever. Own your store’s KPIs — from conversions and average ticket to selling furniture protection and more!

  • Customer First: Create a top-tier customer experience that keeps them coming back.

  • Team Builder: Recruit, train, and develop talent to build a winning team.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee merchandising, inventory accuracy, scheduling, and floor presentation with precision.

  • Strategic Execution: Partner with district leaders to implement company initiatives and execute localized strategies that elevate store performance.

  • Hands-On Support: Assist with floor moves and merchandising updates, including the ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise as needed (up to 50 lbs).

What You Bring:
